A Day With Brent Cowles, June’s NPR Slingshot Artist

Goat yoga and a concert – not a bad day, right?

Earlier this spring, we had a special opportunity to partner with Rocky Mountain Goat Yoga and Colorado’s Brent Cowles for goat yoga and an outdoor show.

Cowles, June’s NPR Slingshot artist of the month, is at his most intimate in the Colorado elements. That’s to be expected – his new album, How To Be Okay Alone, was recorded earlier this year while in Joshua Tree National Park. It’s all part of an already extraordinary year for the Denver artist.

Watch an interview and performance with Cowles below. The acoustic rendition of “How To Be Okay Alone” is not to be missed. It’s surely among the most scenic gigs of his career, with a chilly wind rolling in and, yes, goats.

You can next catch Cowles at the Bohemian Nights NewWestFest, August 11 in Fort Collins. He’ll also play Denver’s Velorama Festival one week later, August 18.
