Wood Brothers DJ Takeover on Monday
Are you a fan of the Wood Brothers? Are you curious what they listen to when they’re on the road or hanging out at home? This Monday, you’ll get a chance to find out, when all three members of the GRAMMY-nominated group (Chris and Oliver Wood, and Jano Rix) join Margot in the studio for DJ Takeover.
The Wood Brothers play some of their favorite records and explain why they’re important to them. Each of the bandmembers choose a handful of songs and take turns talking about them and sharing stories.
The DJ Takeover comes ahead of the release of Heart Is the Hero, the Wood Brothers’ eighth studio album, which is set for release this Friday, April 14.
“By no means was it intentional, but much of the material we were writing for this record seemed to come full circle to the idea of trusting in your heart in matters that you can’t control,” says Oliver Wood about the new album.
The DJ Takeover with the Wood Brothers airs Monday, April 10 starting at noon MT.
The Wood Brothers play the Mission Ballroom in Denver on Saturday, April 15.
