Music 101: Bowie Collaborations

During his career, David Bowie collaborated with numerous artists, some of whom are, like him, among the biggest names in rock and pop music. He produced albums for the likes of Lou Reed and Iggy Pop; sang duets with Freddy Mercury, Mick Jagger, Cher, and even Bing Crosby; and working with artists from Morrissey to Nine Inch Nails.

And that’s just scratching the surface.

In this episode of Music 101, Margot highlights songs by artists who worked in collaboration with David Bowie.

Watch one example below, with Bowie joined by Cher to perform the “Young Americans Medley” from 1975.

In Music 101, Margot highlights a different chapter in music history, bringing you songs you love and the stories behind them.
