Watch the Velveteers’ New Video ‘Motel #27’

The Velveteers debuted a video this week for their new song “Motel #27.” The song is from their upcoming album Nightmare Daydream, due out Oct. 8. 

Nightmare Daydream is produced by Dan Auerbach (of the Black Keys) and will be released on Auerbach’s label, Easy Eye Sound. 

“I instantly dug them,” says Auerbach. “They’re amazing live, and their videos are so creative. And they just sound so powerful.”

Colorado band the Velveteers are singer/guitarist Demi Demitro and drummers Baby Pottersmith and Jonny Fig. The first single from their upcoming album was “Charmer and the Snake”:

“We don’t want to sound like a band from a different time,” says Demitro. “We want to sound like a band that’s right here right now—in this very moment.”

 

Nightmare Daydream is out Oct. 8.

The Velveteers are on tour this fall play the Gothic Theatre in Englewood, Colo. on Nov. 26.
