The Colorado Sound Presents… Trampled By Turtles
We are absolutely thrilled to announced yet another Colorado Presents show at Red Rocks Amphitheatre. On July 19, The Colorado Sound Presents… Trampled By Turtles. Tickets are available at 10 am today. The password is: turtlegras.
The Duluth, Minnesota band is one of American’s finest and most accomplished bluegrass and folk acts.
They will be joined by The Oh Hellos, a brother and sister folk duo from Texas, and Dead Horses, an acclaimed roots and folk outfit from Wisconsin.
Trampled by Turtles’ first album came out in 2004. Songs from a Ghost Town impressively combined elements of folk and rock in an inventive way. Two albums followed, Blue Sky and the Devil in 2005 and 2007’s Trouble. It was with their fourth release, Duluth, that the bluegrass community took notice.
They’ve toured relentlessly since, selling out venues across the country. Live at First Avenue from 2013 highlights a fun, tight-knit group. Wild Animals is their most recent album, released in 2014, and their most successful to date.
Trampled By Turtles last played Red Rocks in 2016.
Listen to “Wait So Long”, from 2010’s Palomino.
