Ryan Adams Does Some Torch & Twang
Perhaps you heard. Ryan Adams played Red Rocks June 14, on one of those perfect Colorado evenings.
Following the song he wrote for The Colorado Sound, doing the weather, and everything in between, there was a show. And it rocked. And it also kind of swayed, with three classic Torch & Twang style songs.
First up was “Let It Ride”, from 2005’s Cold Roses. When Adams opened the show with “Movin’ like the fog on the Cumberland River,” you could tell this was going to be one special night.
Toward the end of the show, he played “Oh My Sweet Carolina” with First Aid Kit playing the part of Emmylou Harris. And in the encore, Adams embraced his Whiskeytown past with the timeless “Jacksonville Skyline”.
Float down main street, and revisit all these classics below.
