Over the last two years, the NPR Student Podcast Challenge has introduced more than 35,000 students to the world of public radio and audio storytelling.
This year, the initiative is back for its third year with two podcast challenges. The college podcast deadline has passed, and the Grades 5 – 12 edition deadline Is coming up fast.

The key dates for the Grades 5 – 12 edition are:
- Friday, January 1: Challenge officially opens for entries
- Monday, March 15: Deadline for entries
- Week of May 25: Finalists and honorable mentions are announced and shared with stations
- Week of June 1: Winners announced
