Hold On. Grandoozy Is Coming.

Grandoozy takes place September 14-16 in Denver’s Overland Park
Grandoozy Premieres In September

Buckle up, Colorado. It’s almost Grandoozy time. Happening September 14, 15, and 16 at Denver’s Overland Park, Grandoozy is arguably the single biggest weekend of music in the history of Colorado. That’s not a stretch when you consider some of the factors:

  • It’s being brought to you from the co-creators of Bonaroo and Outside Lands, two of the country’s biggest festivals each year.
  • This is a diverse, big-boy lineup – with headliners Kendrick Lamar (Friday), Florence + The Machine (Saturday) and Stevie Wonder (Sunday).
  • The undercard could headline most festivals in the US – Miquel, Sturgill Simpson, Phoenix, The War On Drugs, St. Vincent, to name a few.
  • There’s a refreshingly local spotlight for a fest this size, giving us Dragondeer, Tennis, Gasoline Lollipops, and Flaural.

Other bands of note that we can’t wait to see in a live outdoor setting include: Phoenix, Mavis Staples, Jade Bird, St. Vincent, Black Pumas, Bishop Briggs, and De La Soul. Throw in some one-of-a-kind DJ sets from Jon Hopkins and Leon Vynehall, plus a diverse hip-hop showing, and this is one excellent Music Discovery festival, as well.

Just this week, the festival also announced daily panel discussions, located in an area called ” ’80s Ski Lodge,” featuring Olympians Bobby Brown, Gretchen Bleiler and Jeremy Bloom, all whom have Colorado connections. Other panel discussions will explore environmental issues.

For a first year festival, this will be fun. It’s a grand effort, and it certainly deserves the Grandoozy name.
