5 Grandoozy Artists We Can’t Wait To See

The Grandoozy is coming.

Everyone knows about Kendrick, Stevie, and Florence + The Machine. What about those other bands you may have overlooked when making your Grandoozy plans?

More announcements are coming, but honestly, even if there weren’t, this is a pretty killer lineup.

Here are five Grandoozy artists we can’t wait to hear in Denver, September 14-16. They may not have grabbed the headlines, but they easily could.

Lost Lakes

The Madison, Wisconsin band specialize in “Wisconsana”, a version of pop-infused folk that has won numerous awards since Lost Lakes formed in 2016. Their folk-inflected music sounds right at home – no matter where you call home. Their self-titled album came out in 2017. “Digital Tears” is the first song from the well-received release.

Jade Bird

Jade Bird was one of the breakout artists following this years SXSW festival in Austin. She’s been on the road a lot this year, and should be ready for a tight set at Grandoozy, and to make another splash. Check out her live performance of “Cathedral”.

Denver’s Flaural are shoe-gaze, psychedelic saviors in the Colorado music scene. They sound like a cross between Syd Barrett and My Bloody Valentine, setting their controls in the land of 300-days-a-year-of-sun.

Soul Rebels

The Soul Rebels are an eight piece from New Orleans who’ll be bringing the brass and the requisite marching band festival hype. They’ll either make you all good and tired or get you amped for Kendrick. Either way, let’s hope they play this:

Bishop Briggs

Los Angeles’s Bishop Briggs, who is from England, racked up almost 30 million views of her hit, “The River”, on YouTube. Her crossover pop could make for dynamic stage-watching, and hearing songs from her upcoming Church of Scars will be met with much anticipation.
