Sonic Spotlight Reveals 2021 Artist Lineup

In conjunction with the Fort Collins Museum of Discovery and the Bohemian Foundation, we are thrilled to announce the lineup for Sonic Spotlight 2021!

Out of scores of submissions, eight solo artists and bands have been selected to participate in the program:

  • Emma Marie, Windsor, CO (singer-songwriter)
  • forrest nelson, Fort Collins, CO (pop, glitch)
  • Hannah Rodriguez, Greeley, CO (jazz, folk)
  • Julia Kirkwood, Windsor, CO (pop, alternative)
  • Lewis Turner, Fort Collins, CO (folk, pop)
  • Sauce.K, Greeley, CO (rap, electronic)
  • The Appropriate Show, Fort Collins, CO (indie
    rock)
  • Vantavox, Fort Collins, CO (metal, prog rock)

The artists range in age from 15 to 22, and all are based in Larimer and Weld counties. More details, including bios on each of the artists, can be found on the Sonic Spotlight website. 

All participants will be working with industry experts and creative peers toward the Sonic Round, which airs live on the Colorado Sound on Thursday, November 4. Three finalists will debut music videos and perform live at the Spotlight Round on Thursday, December 9 at Washington’s in Fort Collins, Colo. A panel of music industry professionals will help determine which artists advance and, ultimately, who is crowned winner of Sonic Spotlight 2021.

Sonic Round

Spotlight Round

Thursday, December 9
Featuring the three top artists from the Sonic Round, live at Washington’s in Fort Collin, Colo.

Now in its second year, Sonic Spotlight is a music showcase and competition brought to you by Fort Collins Museum of Discovery, the Colorado Sound, and Bohemian Foundation. Prizes for select artists include a chance to work with industry experts, connect with creative peers, receive radio airplay, create a professional music video, and perform live.
