Fleeka named 2025 Sonic Spotlight winner

Congrats to Fleeka, winner of the 2025 Sonic Spotlight!

Now in its fifth season, Sonic Spotlight is a Northern Colorado competition that’s all about encouraging and supporting young musicians in any genre.

Congrats to Fleeka, who is the winner of the 2025 Sonic Spotlight! She and the two other finalists (Ballpark! and Jane Rhoads) performed live during the Sonic Spotlight final showcase at Washington’s in Fort Collins on March 5. Colorado Sound host Ron Bostwick emceed the event.

Each of these artists has a chance to win an emerging-artist wish list of prizes, including a professionally produced music video, photo shoot, custom T-shirts, live showcase opportunities, studio time, connection with peers, a chance to work with industry experts, gift cards, and more.

Sonic Spotlight is again brought to you by The Colorado Sound along with the Fort Collins Museum of Discovery and the Bohemian Foundation.

Sonic Spotlight focuses on highlighting the work of musicians from Northern Colorado aged 22 or younger. To qualify, all artists and band members need to reside in Larimer or Weld counties. All song submissions need to be original.

Next steps

All finalists premiered their new music videos and performed live on stage during the final showcase event at Washington’s in Fort Collins on Wed., March 5. That evening, one finalist was named winner of this year’s Sonic Spotlight.

Listener’s Choice Award

Voting took place Feb. 5 on the Colorado Sound website for this year’s Sonic Spotlight Listener’s Choice Award, and thanks to your votes, the winner is Ballpark!
