Applications are now closed for the 2023 Sonic Spotlight. Thanks to all who applied.
Up-and-coming musicians have a chance to level up, because applications are now open for the 4th annual Sonic Spotlight! This is a Northern Colorado competition that’s all about encouraging and supporting young musicians in any genre and giving them a chance to step into the ‘spotlight.’
Those who apply have a chance to win a complete emerging-artist wish list of prizes, including a professionally produced music video, live showcase opportunities, studio time, connection with peers, a chance to work with industry experts, gift cards, and more. Sonic Spotlight is again brought to you by The Colorado Sound along with the Fort Collins Museum of Discovery and the Bohemian Foundation.
Musicians from Northern Colorado aged 22 or younger are welcome to apply to be part of the 2023 Sonic Spotlight. To qualify, at least 50% of band members need to reside in Larimer or Weld counties. Applications are open now through Aug. 31.
A panel of music industry veterans will pick a group of semi-finalists, who will be given new attention and opportunities this fall. The group will then be narrowed down to three finalists, all of whom will premier their new music videos and perform live on stage during a showcase event at Washington’s in Fort Collins. One finalist will be named winner of Sonic Spotlight 2023.
