Sonic Guild awards grants to 11 Colorado artists

Sonic Guild’s Colorado chapter has announced that 11 Colorado artists will receive more than $35,000 in grant money, to help grow their music careers.

The 11 artists receiving this year’s grants are: 2MX2, Britt Devens, Dzirae Gold, Lady Denim, Gio Chamba, Graham Good and the Painters, Megan Burtt, Neoma, Pink Fuzz, The Mananas, and Ramakhandra.

Two of the Sonic Guild grantees were also nominees in the 2023 Colorado Sound Music Awards: Pink Fuzz and 2MX2. Pink Fuzz was announced as the On the Rise winner during the Nov. 6 Colorado Sound Music Awards celebration.

Sonic Guild itself was also nominated for a Colorado Sound Music Award in the Outstanding Secret Ingredient category.

Each artist is nominated by the public, prior grant recipients, local industry experts and Sonic Guild founding members. The Sonic Guild grants are unrestricted, allowing artists to invest in development needs such as recording, engineering, publicity support, video production, merchandising and touring.

Previous Colorado Sonic Guild grantees include N3ptune, Alysia Kraft, Bevin Luna, Big Richard, and iZCALLi.

Sonic Guild is a national music nonprofit that builds communities to support the creation and performance of exceptional local music, Sonic Guild has chapters in Colorado, Texas, and Washington.
