Nathaniel Rateliff Gets Album and Song Of The Year Nods

In recognition of his 2020 album And It’s Still Alright, Nathaniel Rateliff has been nominated for two Americana Honors and Awards in the Album Of The Year and Song Of The Year categories. The event will take place on September 16 in Nashville.

The record finds Rateliff looking back at his still-standing victories, singing in hard-earned soul reminiscent of the Night Sweats.

It’s an album Rateliff owes to producer Richard Swift in many ways, who passed away in 2018. Swift reportedly told Ratelif to “keep pushing for those Harry Nilsson tunes, man.”

In January, Rateliff told Rolling Stone about some of the inspirations for the album, saying: “When you really look at it, I’m still alive, everything’s still good in my life regardless of hardship and what’s been happening.”
