Javier Bardem to be honored at 2022 Boulder International Film Festival
The Colorado Sound is thrilled to announce that internationally acclaimed, Oscar-winning actor Javier Bardem will appear in person at the Boulder International Film Festival (BIFF) this March.
Bardem will receive the festival’s Outstanding Performer of the Year award during a ceremony on March 5 at the Boulder Theater. He will also participate in an interview with Scott Feinberg of the Hollywood Reporter for Feinberg’s podcast, Awards Chatter.
The award honors Bardem for his work in the 2021 Academy Award-nominated film Being the Ricardos. He was recently nominated for Best Actor by the Academy and the Screen Actors Guild for his role as Desi Armaz.
Bardem won the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor for his role as the frightening, psychotic assassin in the Coen Brothers film No Country for Old Men. He’s also been acclaimed for his roles in such films as Jamón Jamón, Before Night Falls, Biutiful, the James Bond spy film Skyfall, Terrence Malick’s To the Wonder, and Darren Aronofsky’s Mother! Most recently he had roles not only in Being the Ricardos but also Spanish film The Good Boss and the sci-fi epic Dune.

Tickets for the March 5 event with Javier Bardem are on sale beginning Feb. 15 on the BIFF website. The event is free to festival passholders.
