Prince tops your favorite New Year’s Eve party songs

This month we asked you to pick your best New Year’s Eve party song. Not just traditional standards like “Auld Lang Syne,” but songs you’d put on your idea party mix. You came through with some winners!

Your top choice was “1999” by Prince. Because…of course.

Two songs by the B-52’s made the list, as well as LCD Soundsystem‘s “All My Friends” and “Juice” by Lizzo.

More classics like Outkast‘s “Hey Ya!” and David Bowie‘s “Let’s Dance” made the list, along with newer songs like “Felony” by the Allergies

Portugal the Man’s “Feel It Still” was a natural for this list.

And another blast from the past, Deee-Lite’s “Groove Is in the Heart” was a fresh surprise. A chart-topping hit from 1990, the song features contributions from Q-Tip, Herbie Hancock, and Bootsy Collins.
