Colorado musicians and film/videomakers, you have an incredible opportunity to participate in the sixth annual 53:14 Music Video Experiment!
The 53:14 Music Video Experiment gets its’ name from the challenge of time. It is a music video challenge that pairs 10 filmmakers with 10 musicians (or bands) and then gives them $1,000 plus 53 hours and 14 minutes to produce a music video in Northern Colorado.

The aspect of time and the creative process is a motivator in the 53:14 project. The artists and bands are teamed up, in a surprise random reveal, the minute before the clock starts ticking. It is a lofty goal for the band and filmmaker to meet, come up with a concept, shoot, edit, and deliver an original music video in one weekend. It inspires incredible collaboration and professional music-video results.
The videos will be honored with a community event at the Lyric Cinema in Fort Collins, Colo. on Sept. 1, 2023. The public event is free, all ages, features live music, and will offer a world premier of the ten music videos.
