See the 2025 GRAMMY Award nominees
Khruangbin, the Black Keys, St. Vincent, Fontaines D.C., Charley Crockett, Kim Gordon, Kacey Musgraves, Rhiannon Giddens, Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds, Billy Strings, Brittany Howard, and – get this – the Beatles (!), are among the nominees for the 2025 GRAMMY Awards, which were announced today.
Gillian Welch & David Rawlings are nominated for Best Folk Album for their new album Woodland; Charley Crockett’s $10 Cowboy and Maggie Rose’s No One Gets Out Alive are among the Best Americana Album nominees; Cedric Burnside’s Hill Country Love is nominated for Best Traditional Blues Album; and Arooj Aftab’s Night Reign is on the list for Best Alternative Jazz Album, appearing on that list alongside Robert Glasper for Code Derivation and André 3000 for New Blue Sun.
New Blue Sun is also among nominees for Album of the Year, up against releasesfrom pop superstars such as Sabrina Carpenter, Charli xcxx, Billie Eilish, Chappell Roan, and Beyoncé.
The Song of the Year and Record of the Year categories are also dominated by that same group of pop artists. And you can say that Beyoncé leads the pack, as she earned 11 nominations this year (Cowboy Carter may have been snubbed by the Country Music Awards, but it did make the GRAMMY list for Best Country Album).
Those two high-profile, multi-genre song categories also include Kendrick Lamar for “Not Like Us,” Lady Gaga and Bruno Mars for “Die with a Smile,” and the Beatles for their ‘new’ song “Now and Then.”
Fontaines D.C., Green Day, Jack White, and the Rolling Stones are up for Best Rock Album, while the Best Alternative Music Album category includes Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds, Kim Gordon, Clairo, St., Vincent, and Brittany Howard.
Below are some of the category highlights. The full list of nominees and categories for the 2025 Grammy Awards are posted on the GRAMMY Awards website. The winners will be announced on Sun., Feb. 2, 2025 during a televised broadcast.
